Imelda May是一位爱尔兰女歌手，来自爱尔兰都柏林的一个叫The Liberties的地方，她因嫁给英国的吉他手Darrel Higham，所以现在的全名叫做Imelda May Higham，而她婚前的名字是Imelda Clabby。音乐风格大致上走的是Rockabilly（起源于美国东南部的乡村摇滚），其实夫妻俩都是做这种音乐的，也算是志同道合了。《Love Tattoo》是她发行的第一张专辑，其中，可以听到Jump Blues（跳跃蓝调），Smooth Jazz（轻柔爵士）以及一些布鲁斯摇滚风格。相当不错的一张专辑，Imelda的声音质素非常棒，在唱节奏强烈的快歌时是属于硬朗派的女声，具有力量感和爆发力，而在唱抒情歌曲时又是温柔中带着些许慵懒，耐人寻味。这也是近期听到的一张比较令人惊喜的唱片。国外的乐迷对它也是赞誉有加。在国内算是相当冷门，好音乐不该被埋没，在此推荐。
